Lacked the bass to me, quite a bit. And the guitar theme is just an arp of an overall repetitive progression. But, regardless, I like it. My second favorite from you after, of course, Salvation.

I'd like to hear a full version of that.

This piano is a bit underwhelmingly dry. I hope it's not intended and it'll be reverbed in the future.

But at the same time, this is a nice composition and the sounds are well put together, so yeah, keep working on it, it has amazing potential.

Ok first off, the harmony pattern gets somewhat repetitive. And when additional instrument is added, Eb-G-C doesn't clash with E-G-C at all making it sound as unpleasant as possible. Now, I think buildup and drop were good except the fact that they had no hearable sub-bass or whatever. It seems just like you EQed everything and set low frequencies to really low values so I couldn't hear that full-realized drop and it was just like half-made. The structure of two drops being that close to each other isn't that good imo. Or was it a one drop connected through a buildup? Dayum then it's kind of a long drop. Then the bridge starts, and while arps in high octaves repeat the same things, the chords underneath change, making multiple harmonies at a time which sounds as well unpleasant. At around 2:20, Reverse Crash doesn't really fit it. Cymatics noises would have sounded a lot better I think.

Oh, here we go again, a buildup connection in the MIDDLE of a drop. That could work somewhere I guess but not here, especially if taken the whole buildup instead of just the last part of it.

I have no issues with vocal chopping. I don't think it's that important.

Outro sounded somewhat calm but really boring as it's the same freakin harmonies applied ctrl+c ctrl+v to. There are no additional effects that would help it sound like an actual outro (e.g. white noise down) instead of a bridge. No sub bass either.

So in conclusion this song really lacked sub bass, that's one of its main problems. Others are lack of harmony compatibility, differentiations in the bridge and outro and bad mid-drop connections. Despite that all, I'd rate it 3,5 out of 5 because of kickass drops it offers.

I mean this is truly epic. I rate this five out of five, I don't think it has ANY flaws at all. I just get so satisfied listening to this, while it has a catchy theme and goes well with all of the action mood it's set for. Everything is perfect. Cheers, this is the best audio I've ever heard on Newgrounds so far.

Please use more chord progressions. It's really annoying to hear 5 minutes of the same four harmonies, and no subdominant.

But the melodies and mixing are quite great. I like them. They sound so well together.

If not a secret, what did you use for your violin sample?

softable responds:

I just use free violin plugin in http://www.vst4free.com/ here . I cant remember full name bro >,,<

I do not understand how could THIS masterpiece get rated lower than even 4.5 stars. That is easily one of your best works, ugh, how could I ever miss that?

It has some flaws IMO. The drops, compared to other tracks, feel very slow and "sticky". The notes there are kind of delayed from each other. And whereas it's meant to make them aiming each other, the drop pushes adequate limits and starts giving the song a vibe of slowness and sluggishness. The sound effects in the drops kind of put it in the row with Supernova and maybe Jnana. Maybe I didn't like drops that much because I'm not really such a dubstep lover... but they weren't energetic unlike in other tracks.

The melody at 2:24... omg... I feel like I entered the heaven for 20 seconds there. That melody is why I chose this track one of your best, even above 'Sheol'. The beginning is mediocre for you, it combines two different paced melodies. I like how it grows in strength, this sounds really good to me. The ending was kinda better than beginning being created with the same sounds. But still the between-drops melody takes the first place in my ears.

I don't really like that arp, it sounds kinda annoying compared to the rest of your track. Maybe because both the beginning and the ending have it in there, is the reason why they sound worse to me than the 2:24 melody.

Overall this was quite a masterpiece. If only my creating skills were like that... 8) It was mixed well, the melodies are pure eargasm and the harmonic line isn't generic which I do really like about this track... I think, it'll earn the place of my favorite song by you ever as I said before. So... congratulations. For making such a great composition. And good luck with your new ones.

Somehow this reminded me of 'Heartbeat' music by SnoodDood. The soundbank isn't the best but you made it sound really good. I agree with things said in Varsity's review although I barely understand some of them :D

This really sounds original. I think some details need to be said as well:
1. Default drum samples. Seriously, I don't think it's a good idea to use them in your projects. They don't just generally sound bad, they also don't fit with the theme of your song.
2. Some mixing problems. Much like in my works, some drums (like clap and cymbal) sound a bit off simply because they're too loud.

The drop had dissonances but it didn't sound bad to me, actually, I really liked it. The addendum of the actual melody above the drop made it even better. And the beginning sound effect fits the song really well.

Robotica. This name fits the song really well. At first I thought the sample was quite unpleasant and annoying but then I realised that this is what makes the track more robotic. But the drums still feel off as I said earlier.

Things are looking upwards for you and I see how far you've improved since Pirate Bossfight. The only thing I can say is good luck with your future projects.

BreadKing responds:

Ahh thank you Erso for the response. So for this one, I tried to find new drum samples actually, but gave up halfway through. Sorry about that.
For the mixing, I do see what you mean. I wasn't actually aware that the cymbals were too loud, so I guess I'll change that.
Thank you for your reviews. You've opened my eyes to many problems, but for each one, you've stayed so respectful and constructive. Thank you for this :)

Also the dissonance, I'll improve that.
